Celebrate Earth Day May 4, 2021 with the planting of the Forget Me Not Orchard & Forever Forest!!!
FORGET ME NOT ORCHARD
Patchwork Pastures is proud to present “The Forget Me Not Orchard”; In line with the organizations mission, the orchard is dedicated to those who have lost their battle to addiction. We will be planting 60 fruit trees in the shape of a heart surrounded by forget me not flowers. The fruit trees will provide a sustainable food source for the animals on the sanctuary while commemorating a loved one lost to addiction.

Patchwork Pastures is excited to announce we have a logo contest winner. This was a multi fold project which included three separate voting sessions and 4 presentations. Needless to say we were overwhelmed with excitement and admiration on how talented all of the students are.
The first presentation was to Patchwork Pastures Board of Directors on May 30, 2019 who had the pleasure of previewing the logo submissions. The second session took place on June 13, 2019 at Sussex County Drug Court Alumni meeting where all of the attendees were able to vote for their favorite logo. What a conversation this prompted again at the amazing talent the students put forth. Those votes were then tallied and the top 5 were presented to Patchworks Board of Directors, with over 109 submissions it was not an easy task as all the logos had their own special connection to our organization.
The final vote took place on Thursday July 25, 2019. After a careful and extensive selection process the winner is Brandon L. from Vernon Township High School. Not only did Brandon win the competition but the Board of Directors officially voted to use two of his submissions noting that one would be perfect for letterhead and display and the alternate would be ideal for promo items such as t-shirts and baseball caps. The board also decided that since we would use two logos that Brandon created he would receive double prize totaling $100 gift card.
Congratulations to Brandon, Vernon Township High School and to all the schools and students who participated. We are forever grateful for your support and dedication to the project. A separate email will be sent to the Vernon High School team to coordinate the presentation of the award and photo opportunity for the official press release.
The complete PowerPoint presentation can be viewed here
Brandon will be officially celebrated on November 21, 2019 7:00 pm at Vernon Township High School.
We hope you join us in this celebration!
